My current favorite Indonesian food: Rendang
It is not easy to take an attractive picture of rendang, and I did not succeed. But this was the best I could do!
Rendang is beef cooked in coconut milk and spices. It usually comes served with white rice, cassava leaves, jackfruit and sambal (hot sauce), but I always pass on the sambal because I am weak. This time I added a fried corn thing; they told me the name, but I forgot it immediately. Price of rendang: $1 USD.
